Chief Medical Officer; Medical Education (IME / CME) UK or Europe – Likely to be a Medical Director, Medical Strategist or Clinical Strategy Director and an experienced senior leader with a passion for delivering the highest quality medical education for global HCPs. 

The Company 

Internationally recognised company that delivers clinically important medical education to global healthcare professionals.  

• Expertise in needs assessment, grant writing, content development, faculty selection, outcomes assessment, production and distribution of medical education. 

• Design and produce materials for a variety of formats – (e-learning, video, live events and print) 

• Measure the outcomes and impact of the education delivered. 

• Therapy areas include Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Haematology, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Oncology and Rheumatology. 

• Looking for UK / European based candidates who will work 100% remotely with the ability to travel as needed for project assignments. 

The Role 

As Chief Medical Officer you will manage and support the team to plan, develop and execute IME and CME grants and programs. 

• Manage Medical Directors, Medical Strategists, Medical Writers and Medical Editors. 

• Establish, maintain and leverage relationships with internationally recognised faculty experts. 

• Work closely with the team of Medical Directors and faculty presenters to develop high-quality, issue-specific, fair-balanced educational content for short-format, multimedia activities, as well as live symposia, while meeting the project timelines and budgets. 

• Present strategic recommendations to sponsors / pharma companies. 

• Write short form needs assessment across a range of therapeutic areas. 

• Develop and maintain knowledge of important clinical issues and trends in your TA area, and the rules and regulations that govern independent and accredited medical education and continuing professional development for international audiences. 

You 

• Solid experience across a range of therapy areas, defined by the amount of grant funding, number of existing thought leader relationships, and designed/developed educational activities. 

• Knowledge of IME and CME industry regulations and experience supporting IME / CME funding efforts. 

• Adept at researching, compiling and analysing clinical and scientific evidence quickly. 

• Solid editorial skills and able to adapt editorial style based on educational format and/or target audience (nurse, physician, pharmacist or other HCPs).

• An advanced medical or science degree is preferred, or 8 years relevant experience in Medical Education.

• Based in the UK or Europe (excluding France).
