Client Strategy Director - Medical Communications – Remote or London – to £95K + bonus and bens

This is a Client Strategy Director opportunity to join an award-winning, independent and growth-focused healthcare communications agency. You will develop strong client relationships, provide strategic counsel, help identify and convert business opportunities, and act as the internal client to drive the very highest levels of output.

  • An independent network of 3 agencies to meet the broad healthcare communication needs of their clients and their patients.
  • A interesting mix of personalities and approaches, bound by shared company values, purpose and vision.
  • Projects include publication planning, MSL knowledge and skills training, data visualisation, strategic workshops with clients and pre-launch environment shaping; KOL mapping, disease awareness, and patient communication.
  • Therapy areas include MS, ophthalmology, transplant, rare kidney disease, rare cancers, respiratory, food allergy and myloma.

The Role

In this newly created role of Client Strategy Director, you will have a strong and varied medical communications background and a desire to move into a strategic thinking role.

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and translate that to the scientific and client services teams to ensure objectives are met by the tactical roll out.
  • Lead and prepare for new business pitches, including brainstorming, development of communications strategies, operational recommendations, budgets and pitch presentations
  • Lead Key Client Relationships, gaining in-depth knowledge and create organic growth by identifying opportunities and proposing appropriate solutions.
  • Act as internal client to ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest quality standards, are strategically-aligned, within budget and exceeding clients’ expectations.
  • Facilitate workshops and provide strategic outputs to your clients such as strategy plans.

You

To be successful as Client Strategy Director, you may come from a Principal Medical Writer or Account Director route gaining a broad knowledge across medical communications and is now keen to step away from hands-on delivery into more of a strategic thinking role.

  • An ability to create compelling medical communications programmes/strategies and appropriate operational plans on a national and international basis
  • An infectious passion for improving the way that science is communicated
  • Flexible, freethinking approach to getting the best from both clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical, enquiring, insightful and strategic thinking abilities
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communications skills
