Generics Account Manager – Small European Pharma Company – National Role – £Competitive Financial Package

The Company

  • Our client is small in the UK, with a relatively flat management structure.
  • They are extremely people orientated and one of their goals is to enable people to be the best they can be!
  • They have a strong presence and an amazing offering in the respiratory arena and have recently ventured into a new therapy area and built a brand-new team which has been a huge success so far.
  • They are now venturing into generics and need someone with experience in the generics market to support them in this new expansion.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for the implementation of commercial strategy for a small portfolio of generic products.
  • Your main customers will be wholesalers, retail pharmacies and dispensing doctors.
  • You will be responsible for NHS tendering and building and maintaining relationships with procurement and distribution chain customers.
  • You will liaise with wholesalers, retail pharmacy chains, and hospital procurement to ensure the availability of products and deal with any supply issues.
  • You will work nationally, prioritising your time effectively to ensure optimum coverage of the UK and excellent sales results against target.


  • You will currently be promoting a generics portfolio regionally with ambitions to move into a national role.
  • You will have a network in place with wholesalers and retail pharmacies across your territory and be keen to grow this network on a national level.
  • You will have at least 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience in the generics arena.
  • You will be a self-starter, independent and have strong negotiation skills.
  • You will be business focussed, innovative, dynamic, entrepreneurial and resourceful.
  • You will ideally be based in the Midlands, so you are well placed geographically to cover the UK and travel to head office. However, other locations such as Manchester or London will also be considered.
