Medical Strategist – Medical Education – Global Health Agency – Manchester office based 2 days and WFH 3 days

Global health agency with offices across the US and Europe, now opening a new office in Manchester city centre.

Clients include Medical Affairs, Commercial and Clinical Development across Global and UK accounts

Main therapy areas include oncology, dermatology, rare diseases, respiratory medicine and CNS disorders.

Main deliverables include manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks, websites, training programmes, advisory board reports) and checks, and prepares reference packs
The Role
-
Drive innovation and creativity in Medical Education by bringing new perspectives that inspire creative thinking and new ideas.

Support clients in strategic planning process to align with an evolving Medical Affairs landscape

Understanding the scope, client interests and desired output to set the direction and how a project is delivered scientifically to elevate the narrative above the competition

Research into medicines, therapeutic landscape, and competitive environment, providing input on how a brand’s scientific evidence-base can shape a brand’s communication and strategic direction.

Define positioning and go-to market strategy by supporting research efforts, stakeholder interviews, workshops and exercises.

Drive curiosity, think outside the box and elevate the science beyond data points.
You

Deep understanding of the clinical scientific treatment landscape and how to interpret and translate the evidence into understandable, impactful and compelling scientific narratives.

Experience working on strategic projects in a Medical Communications / Medical Education agency.

An advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MSc, RN, MD) in a scientific/medical discipline is required

Can distil complex concepts into logical and simple narratives whilst delivering the impact

Competent in searching for scientific papers and conducting desk research using online scientific publishing tools (e.g. PubMed)
-
Understanding of the complete health ecosystem that impact a brand such as market access, generic competition, corporate reputation and sales and/or medical field force activities
-
7+ years of healthcare experience through launching biopharmaceutical brands
