Carrot Recruitment are supporting the hire of a Clinical Trials Sub-Investigator for a valued partner, who are currently able to offer either a full time or part time working model for the right candidate. Along with this flexibility the role is categorised as an entry Clinical Research Physician/ Sub Investigator role, ideal role for someone who is looking to work in clinical research for the first time within the commercial space, whilst maintaining patient facing responsibilities. Please note this is NOT an academic role.

Everything you need to know about the role  

As a Clinical Research Physician/Sub Investigator you will be primarily responsible for the well-being and interests of study subjects.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Follow PI supervision and delegated duties.
  • Comply with GCP, protocol, and company policies.
  • Ensure adequate resources and staffing.
  • Maintain accurate subject and drug records.
  • Supervise and train study staff.
  • Manage documentation and administrative tasks.
  • Obtain informed consent and assess subject compliance.
  • Monitor treatment response and adverse events.
  • Report safety events and ensure medical care.
  • Use study drugs/devices per protocol.
  • Address subject concerns during visits.
  • Maintain current training certifications.

Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit

  • Completion of FY1 and FY2 year prior to start and with a valid in-date GMC registration to work as a Medical Doctor.
  • ALS certification
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience of consenting patients
  • Regulatory awareness, working in line with GCP and able to follow protocols
  • Able to respond to medical emergencies in a calm and considered manner, according to SOPs and guidelines.
  • Clinically competent
