Everything you need to know about the role
As the Growth & Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the charge in developing and executing new business strategies while also overseeing the agency’s internal and external marketing efforts. You’ll be a pivotal player in building strong client partnerships within pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, guiding pitches, and driving the agency’s growth in a highly competitive space.
- Lead new business development and growth strategies across pharmaceutical and life sciences clients.
- Build and nurture meaningful, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the healthcare sector.
- Proactively lead the preparation of RFIs, RFPs and manage pitch processes with minimal oversight.
- Oversee post-sale client onboarding, contract management and seamless handover to delivery teams.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, social media strategies and event participation to enhance brand visibility.
- Build efficient, scalable processes and analytics reporting to support growth and marketing operations.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align growth, marketing and creative efforts.
Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in healthcare advertising, communications, or life sciences marketing, with proven success in business development - ideally 5 years in an agency setting. (You’ll most likely be a senior client services professional)
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical / life sciences industry and its regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated success in securing new business and leading competitive pitch processes.
- Experience building internal and external marketing strategies that drive agency growth.
- Excellent networking, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and a passion for growing healthcare brands.
- Proactive, adaptable, and confident working independently or within a team.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences and networking events (UK and global).
