We’re working with a multi-award-winning consultancy in the heart of Westminster, supporting the search for an Account Director (or Senior Account Manager) to join their thriving health and social care practice.

The Role
As an Account Director, you’ll lead client programmes and drive forward integrated campaigns that address some of the most critical challenges in healthcare and social care. You’ll provide strategic consultancy across the pharmaceutical, medtech, and healthtech sectors, while building trusted relationships with clients, Parliamentarians, Government Ministers, and key opinion leaders.
You’ll also play a key role in new business efforts, mentoring junior colleagues, and shaping team direction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading high-impact campaigns and strategic client programmes
- Building and maintaining strong senior-level client relationships
- Providing expert insight into policy and legislative developments
- Overseeing the creation of briefings, reports, and Parliamentary materials
- Managing accounts and teams to ensure profitability, delivery, and resourcing
- Leading project planning, internal/client meetings, and reporting
- Driving new business growth through renewals, proposals and pitches
- Representing the organisation at key events and policy forums
- Line managing and developing junior team members
You
To be considered for this Account Director role, you will need:
- Strong experience in public affairs or communications, with a focus on health and social care
- Background working with pharmaceutical clients, either in-house or in consultancy
- Confidence working with senior political and industry stakeholders
- Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and lead
- Track record of winning and growing client accounts
- A collaborative, proactive approach and commitment to team development
- A growing network within healthcare, life sciences or health policy
