Associate Director, Scientific Strategic – Global Medical Education, General Medicine – Fully remote, UK

The Company

  • Leads the global development and dissemination of CME

  • Has a mission to improve clinical knowledge, performance and patient outcomes through the delivery of accredited medical education.

  • Develops online and live educational activities for HCPs

  • Provides insight on emerging areas of research and delivers updates on the latest scientific advances and the potential impact on clinical practice.

  • Is looking to expand its Global CME division in Europe

The Role

As Associate Director, Scientific Strategy you will lead the educational content, design, and scientific strategy efforts when seeking CME funding from the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Work across General Medicine therapy areas (outside of oncology and hematology) scanning the landscape to identify key funding opportunities.

  • Translate clinical insights and pipeline knowledge into actionable recommendations for educational grants and proposals.

  • Strategic scientific partner to pharmaceutical companies, developing creative educational solutions that respond to validated gaps and unmet needs in HCP knowledge and skills.

  • Design and present CME proposals that align with potential funding opportunities and current educational needs.

  • Create materials to support obtaining grant funding from pharmaceutical companies.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with global KOLs and experts.

You

This Associate Director, Scientific Strategy role will be perfect for someone who has:

  • Knowledge of CME industry regulations and requirements, and experience supporting CME funding efforts

  • Developed clinical education and business development strategies

  • Confidence speaking with and presenting in meetings to executive-level stakeholders and internationally recognised KOLs

  • A strong desire to maintain high editorial and scientific standards

  • A growth mindset and positive attitude to change
